Do something great with your money. So that we can get your account closed, you can opt to donate your remaining balance to our chosen charity.

How does it work?

We’ll move your remaining balance into a special account we have for donation payments. Every 6 months, we’ll donate all the money moved to that account.

Do I have to donate my remaining balance?

Absolutely not. If you don’t want to donate, you can always choose to withdraw all of your remaining balance by transferring it to another account.

How can I transfer my money to another account?

Just head to the ‘Pay’ section of the app and send money like you always do. Just keep in mind that the minimum amount for a transfer is £1.01 for GBP accounts, €1.01 for EUR accounts and 5 lei for RON accounts.

What if I don’t have the minimum amount for a transfer?

If you want to send your money to another account, but you don’t have the minimum amount for a transfer, you can just top up your Monese account to cover the minimum transfer amount and then send it all out.

What if Monese has blocked or closed my account?

If we’ve blocked or closed your account, this feature won’t be available to you. You should have received an email from the team outlining the next steps – please reply on that thread with all the details we ask for, and the team will get back to you as soon as they can.
